International Women’s Day

7 March 2023 | Blog

We just wanted to shout out all the women in our team and recognise International Women’s Day.

Today is a day to celebrate the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women all around the world. It’s a day to recognise and celebrate the progress that has been made towards gender equality. It’s also important to acknowledge the work that still needs to be done.

International Women’s Day at The HR Booth

At The HR Booth, we’re proud to have a team that is made up of a diverse group of people. Our team are made up of 11 women in our team of 14. Today, we want to take the time to celebrate the women in our team and all of the amazing work that they do.

Whether they’re leading projects with our clients and supporting a range of businesses in all aspects of HR, or developing ideas on marketing and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes, they all play a vital role in the success of our company.

We are grateful for their contributions, and we recognise that we wouldn’t be where we are today without them.

We also want to celebrate the unique perspectives and experiences that our female team members bring to the table. Their diverse backgrounds and perspectives help us to make better decisions, and serve our clients in a more effective way. We can make decisions with clients by looking at things differently.

Our Clients

I also want to recognise the great work of all the women that work for our clients and suppliers. We’re proud to work with a diverse range of clients and suppliers, including many talented and successful women.

From entrepreneurs and business leaders to creatives and innovators, women are making a powerful impact in every industry and sector. They bring unique perspectives, skills, and ideas to the table. Their contributions also help to drive innovation, growth, and success for businesses around the world.

We’re proud to partner with women who are leading the charge in their industries and making a difference in the world.

We know that women still face many challenges in the workplace and beyond. We’re committed to doing our part to promote gender equality. In addition, it’s important to us to create an inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive. We believe that by working together, we can create a better future for everyone.

Flexible Working

We understand that our team members have busy lives outside of work. That’s why we’re committed to creating a culture that supports flexible working and work-life balance. When employees feel supported and valued, they’re better able to serve clients and contribute to the success of the business.

For our full-time employees, we offer flexible working arrangements to help them balance work and personal commitments. Whether it’s working from home, adjusting their hours, or taking time off as needed, we’re committed to working with our team members to find a solution that works for them. We work in a hybrid setting, with a mix of office days, working from anywhere and onsite with clients.

For our part-time employees, we understand that childcare can be a challenge. I’m a working parent myself, and I see at first-hand how difficult this can be, but especially for working mothers. I see the challenges my wife Lorraine has had to face in her career as a working mum. Juggling a commute, being a good employee and a mum, and the toll this takes. I’m grateful that Lorraine has been able to join our business and be a key member behind the scenes. However, she still faces some of these challenges. That’s why we’ve made accommodations to help meet the personal circumstances of all our working mums and the needs of the business.

Furthermore, it’s important to providing the support and resources that our team members need to balance work and family responsibilities. Every one of our working mums has a working pattern that meets their own personal and family circumstances and I’m proud we’ve been able to accommodate that.

Time off for Important Days

We also understand the importance of being there for our families when they need us the most. That’s why we offer time off for important days at school or nursery, and we don’t penalise team members financially who need to take time off to care for a child. We believe that creating a culture of flexibility and support is not only the right thing to do, but it’s also good for the business. I enjoy being able to attend nativity days at school or share our learning days, and our team members should be able to experience this too.

Committed to Well-being and Success

We want our team members to know that we’re committed to their well-being and success. By providing flexible working arrangements, supporting work-life balance, and creating a culture of support, we believe that our team members will be better able to serve our clients and contribute to the success of the business.

Our commitment to flexibility and work-life balance is just one way that we’re working to create a better future for everyone. We believe that when we support and value our team members, we can create a culture of excellence that benefits everyone – our team, our clients, and our community.

So, to all the women in our team, thank you for all that you do. You are an integral part of our success, and we’re grateful for the hard work and dedication that you bring to the table each and every day. Happy International Women’s Day!
