We are delighted to be running some breakfast workshops for Fife Chamber of Commerce members during 2014 which will focus on ”Getting the Most from Your People” with topics ranging from the recruitment and selection right through to retention strategies.

Business success can ultimately depend on the team of people you have working with you.  This series of workshops will focus on the key issues and best ways to help you get the most from your team. Attendance would be of benefit to anyone within an organisation involved with managing people as well as those with specific responsibility for HR.

The workshops will kick off on 20th February with Recruitment and Selection and look at the process covering:

  • Recruitment Costs/Advertising
  • Job Descriptions/Person Specifications
  • Attraction Methods
  • Use of Agencies
  • Selection Methods
  • Interviews
  • Assessment Centres/Profiling
  • Documentation/ET Claims
  • Job offers
  • Contracts of Employment
  • References

Future workshops will look at:

  • Induction and Managing Performance
  • Learning and Development
  • Discipline and Grievance
  • Managing Absence
  • Retention

The workshops will all take place at the Rothes Halls, Glenrothes and as with previous Fife Chamber events registration and breakfast will commence at 7.45am with the workshop kicking off around 8.15am and finishing up no later than 10am.
