It has been a positive month at The HR Booth with many team events taking place. From welcoming back team members to essential blogs, read on to find out what we have been up to in the month of October.
1st October 2024
We started off the month on the right note by announcing an internal promotion. Upon the completion of his apprenticeship, Rennie joined the team on a permanent basis, in the newly created role of Brand & Business Development Associate. This role will see him take a proactive approach to Business Development, whilst also continuing to work on the digital marketing side of the business. You can read more here.

We hosted our very own Macmillan Coffee Morning. It was great to not only see the full team in attendance, but also our neighbours at Lomond Business Park came in to join us too. Importantly, we raised over £250 for Macmillan Cancer Support. Thank you for all your help with this!

We also shared our Q2 NPS results with you all. Getting feedback is an important part of our service and helps us to tailor the service to suit your needs best. We were delighted to present positive results.

UK HR News: The Labour Party announced their new Employment Rights Bill. This Bill will bring about numerous changes, particularly for SMEs. We put together a special edition blog, capturing all of the expected changes from the Employment Rights Bill.

The 10th of October marked World Mental Health Day. We recognised this by sharing some information on local charities who do amazing work supporting the mental health of others. A massive well done to our friends at Pitreavie Packaging who completed their charity walk across the Forth Road Bridge to raise money for Children’s Hospice Across Scotland

Kaitlin celebrated one year at The HR Booth. Kaitlin is integral in delivering comprehensive first-line support to our clients. Her role includes assistance with recruitment, onboarding, letter drafting, minute taking, policy review, and managing initial enquiries on matters like absence and conduct. Kaitlin has made a fantastic impact on the team over the last year and we are delighted she is part of The HR Booth. Thank you for all you do Kaitlin!

We ended the month just as we started it – on a positive note! We welcomed back our Digital Marketing Executive, Shannon, from maternity leave. Shannon has been in the office using her keeping-in-touch days but is now back on a full-time basis. To mark this, we caught up with Shannon to ask her a few questions (some work-related, some completely random!).
