Meet The Team: Calum

by | Blog

Calum recently celebrated a well-deserved promotion to Senior HR Consultant and is one of our longest serving employees (over two spells with us).

He’s also volunteered to take on the Marketing work whilst we’re away on holiday! 😉

1. How long have you worked for The HR Booth? I’m what you might call a boomerang employee! Previously employed for 3 years and have been back for the past 4 months!

2. What’s your job role and what does a typical day look like? Sounds like a cop out, but no two days are the same. It could be anything from Onboarding to Offboarding! Most days include absence management, Disciplinary and Grievance proceedings and occasionally a bit of Recruitment.

3. What can you support clients with? I enjoy getting involved in the more complex Employee Relations, but happy to get involved in the day to day operations to see how we can improve systems, processes, and employee engagement.

4. What do you enjoy most about The HR Booth? It has to be the team and office culture. We have a great team and can always count on each other. No matter what the circumstances are, there is always someone who can offer support or lend a hand during the busy spells!

5. If you could visit any country in the world, where would you go and what would you want to experience there? I would be in the South of Italy in a minute! Mainly for the sun and wine!

6. If you were stuck on a deserted island, what 3 items would you bring with you? I would bring some form of music, my running shoes and as much beer as I could carry!

7. If you could swap jobs with anyone in the office for a day, who would it be, and why? Preferably Lexi… but otherwise I’d choose Rennie! I’d love to give Marketing a go and see what I could come up…
